Shamila Gopalan : Founder & Managing Director
An entrepreneur & media veteran with close to 20 years of experience in broadcast, digital, licensing & print, Shamila possesses a wealth of experience with a strong understanding of the media & content landscape coupled with best business practices across the APAC region. Having managed the CNN International SEA business to running the digital division of Fox International Channels SEA to building the media licensing & rights division from ground zero at Corbis in Asia, Shamila has the acute expertise in building successful businesses across the region. She understands how to build effective partnerships between brands, content providers, content creators and distribution platforms.
Shamila is also is Co-Founder & Chief Evangelist of Catlyst/TV (www.catlysttv.com), an independent consulting & development agency focused on entertainment formats in digital media & technology platforms for all things content.
Being a board member of Asia Content Marketing Association (ACMA), she also speaks at industry focused events & contributes thought leadership content to relevant platforms.
Marilyn Tan : Consulting Creative Director
Brimming with zest and passion, Marilyn Tan is a creative director-producer, creating global & regional television shows with close working relationships across various production companies & broadcast stations. Her forte lies in conceptualising and crafting content for various platforms, be it digital or broadcast across all genres ranging from factual, entertainment and reality shows.
Her involvements are in some of the most successful programs across the region range from The Apprentice Asia for AXN in 2012; SuperModel Me, reality web series and broadcast on DIVA Universal in 2013; Hawker Heroes live TV event (featuring Gordon Ramsay) for Singapore Telecom Singtel on mioTV; Asia's Next Top Model (Season 1) for STARWORLD, FOX International Channels; SONY STYLE (gadget series); E-BUZZ (travel segments) for AXN; WATCH THIS SPACE (reality art series) for OKTO 2010; ACCIDENTAL CHEF (cooking show) and DESIGN SUPERHEROES (design show) for CNA & THE AMAZING RACE ASIA SEASON 4 for AXN. For Discovery Channel, she directed 3 travelogues in China, hosted by actor/presenter David Wu. And for US ULTRA channel, a food travel series hosted by renown chef Luke Mangan.
Her achievements are also recognised in A TALE OF FOUR CITIES; it won accolades at Asia Television Awards 2008 and New York Festival 2009.
Eric Oh : Consulting Creative Director
Eric Oh first became interested in film and photography watching nature documentaries on television as a young child. These interests were further fuelled when he received his first stills camera at the age of 10 and started taking his own pictures. When he was 11, Eric moved to Toronto, Canada. There, he continued to pursue his passion of image making. Eric went on to study and graduate from Ryerson University with a degree in film.
A dedicated Cinematographer and Steadicam Operator, Eric has been working in the film industry in Toronto, Canada since 1993. He is a member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers and the International Cinematographer's Guild (IATSE Local 667). Eric has worked on numerous high profile TV commercials, music videos, documentaries and feature films as a cameraman.
In 2008, Eric went to Bali, Indonesia to shoot a feature length documentary for 5 months. After the documentary was wrapped in late-2008, he decided to relocate to South East Asia. Eric has been based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia since 2009.
